Job Overview

  • Role: Sales Manager, leading the Global Weather & Climate Sales Team at Spire.
  • Mission: Drive revenue growth by managing a high-performing sales team, closing key B2B SaaS/Data-as-a-Service deals, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate sales professionals to exceed goals. Provide coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Sales Execution: Close high-value deals and build strong client relationships in target industries.
  • Metric Reporting: Track, analyze, and report KPIs, pipeline health, and revenue forecasts to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to define and implement sales strategies aligned with market opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement: Position Spire’s weather and climate solutions as essential tools for client success.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously refine sales processes to improve efficiency, conversion rates, and shorten sales cycles.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Meteorology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years in sales, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven B2B SaaS/DaaS sales track record with familiarity in weather and climate solutions.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of lead generation, pipeline management, deal closure, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Analytical Ability: Data-driven mindset with experience in metric reporting and analytics.
  • Communication: Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire a diverse team.
