Position: Senior Software Engineer (SDET / Full-Stack Focus)

This is a hybrid role combining Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) responsibilities with Full-Stack Engineering capabilities. You’ll lead automation and performance testing initiatives while building full-stack, cloud-native solutions supporting T-Mobile’s Legal Technology team.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

  • Design and develop full-stack web solutions using Angular (front-end), Java/Spring Boot (back-end), and databases (Postgres, Oracle, SQL).
  • Extend and optimize data storage mechanisms across relational and non-relational databases.
  • Build secure, scalable, and high-performing software components.
  • Write clear documentation and collaborate in Agile teams to deliver business outcomes.

Automation & Performance Testing (SDET Focus)

  • Design and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable components.
  • Translate business requirements into test strategies and automated test cases.
  • Drive an “automation-first” approach to minimize manual testing efforts.
  • Implement and run performance, load, and scalability tests using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
  • Generate test coverage and quality metrics using tools like SonarQube.
  • Mentor peers on test design, automation, and performance validation best practices.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in software testing and development.
  • Partner with architects, SREs, and cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions.
  • Actively contribute to the Test Community of Practice and DevOps strategies.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a Senior SDET or Senior Software Engineer with a strong automation focus.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
  • Strong full-stack engineering background (Angular, Java/Spring Boot, SQL/Postgres/Oracle).
  • Understanding of cloud-native architecture and tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Experience with business intelligence/reporting tools such as Jaspersoft (preferred).

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • U.S. Citizenship required – documentation must be provided within the first 7 days of employment.
  • Some travel required.
  • Not a DOT-regulated or safety-sensitive position.

Compensation

  • Base Pay Range: $113,600 – $205,000
  • Corporate Bonus Target: 15%
  • Actual pay determined by experience, location, and qualifications.
  • Annual bonuses based on performance (company and individual).
