Introduction to the Job
ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market, and service these advanced machines, enabling our customers—the world’s leading chipmakers—to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, leading to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, with major R&D centers in San Diego, San Jose (CA), and Wilton (CT).
The EUV source team in San Diego operates in a fast-paced, innovative environment creating new-to-industry solutions with rapid productization to support aggressive commercialization plans for EUV lithography technology. The complexity of the EUV source makes for exciting and challenging demands on the Software Engineering department manager’s team. They are involved in all phases of software development and integration, working on sophisticated control algorithms implemented in real-time embedded software executing on multiple high-speed computers under extremely challenging dynamic conditions to produce stable EUV light.
