Position Overview

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a qualified Senior QA Engineer with experience managing, troubleshooting, reproducing defects, and tracking wireless products’ software and hardware performance. The SEA environment is fast-paced, requiring prioritization, flexibility, and quick response.

This role interfaces with cross-functional teams and operators to provide engineering support for new wireless product development and validation of new features and technologies—from initial stages, lab entry, through product launch. The engineer will conduct failure analysis to identify root causes, improve product reliability, and ensure quality standards, focusing on pre/post-launch Samsung mobile products.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years related experience
  • Utilize AI-based tools or models to enhance QA efficiency
  • Experience with field data analysis and return/defect data tracking
  • Analyze issues from both hardware and software perspectives
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives across teams
  • Present complex findings and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Strong hardware analysis skills combined with solid understanding of software behavior and hardware interaction
  • Korean (business proficiency) and English (business proficiency) speaking/reading/writing preferred but not required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player mindset
  • Detail-oriented with proficiency in data handling using Excel and creating meaningful tables, graphs, and averages
  • Focus on critical details important to clients to improve wireless device performance
  • Comfortable using all types of electronic lab test equipment (a plus)
