Senior Product Manager – Fiscal

At Apaleo, we’re building the open, API-first property management platform for hospitality. With integrations across hundreds of apps through the Apaleo Store, we simplify operations, elevate the guest journey, and drive revenue growth for our customers.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager – Fiscal (f/m/d) to help us make Apaleo compliant and fast wherever we grow next. You’ll own the delivery of features that keep our platform compliant across markets, working closely with a Senior Product Management Lead who sets the strategic direction for the wider fiscal and tax domain.

What You’ll Be Up To

• Own Product Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of one or two product crews within the fiscal and legal domain, for example, invoicing or taxation.
• Translate Strategy into Execution: Turn roadmap priorities into clear, well-scoped work that your engineering team can execute against.
• Balance Priorities: Balance planned roadmap delivery with the steady stream of regulatory and reactive work required to keep Apaleo compliant in markets where we’ve already launched.
• Define and Deliver Requirements: Write clear specifications, define what done looks like, and follow through on impact analysis so nothing falls through the cracks.
• Partner with Engineering: Work shoulder to shoulder with engineering as a technical partner. Get into the detail of our API-first architecture rather than simply handing off a ticket and waiting.
• Protect Team Focus: Shield your team from noise and distractions so they can focus on what matters while keeping delivery predictable.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Customer Success, Compliance, and Engineering stakeholders to understand what’s needed and translate it into shippable work.
• Support International Expansion: Help the team move faster on new country launches, contributing to our ambition of making Apaleo compliant in many more markets over the next few years.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Product Management Experience: At least 3–4 years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally in a fast-moving startup or scale-up environment.
• Strong Execution Mindset: You’re energised by shipping, not just planning, and take ownership of your product area without needing to be hand-held.
• Technical Expertise: You’re comfortable working with technical, API-first products. You can discuss architecture with engineers, challenge their thinking, and understand what you’re shipping in real depth.
• Prioritisation Skills: You have sharp prioritisation instincts. You know how to sequence work, say no to good ideas that aren’t great ones, and keep a team focused day to day.
• Curiosity for Complex Domains: You dig into the details rather than staying at the surface, and you’re not afraid of a codebase with some history to it.
• Communication Skills: You communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Extra Awesome Points For

• Fiscal, Tax, or Legal Compliance: Experience with fiscal, tax, or legal compliance topics, for example, in fintech, e-commerce, or ERP systems. This is a genuine nice-to-have, not a requirement.
• Platform Product Experience: Familiarity with platform products where you expose APIs for others to build on.
