(Senior) Product Manager – Customer Taxation

About Raisin

Raisin is the world’s leading platform for savings and investment products. Founded in 2012, the FinTech connects consumers with banks in the EU, the UK, and the US. This gives consumers better interest rates and banks a diversified form of refinancing. Our vision is to offer savings and investments without barriers and thus open up the global €160 trillion market.

Raisin currently employs more than 800 people from over 75 countries worldwide. Today, the platform holds over €80 billion in assets from more than one million investors, who have accrued over €5 billion in returns.

About the Team

Raisin helps customers grow their wealth through savings and investments without barriers. But even the best products and the smoothest experience lose their value if customers pay more tax than they need to or have to work out, declare, and settle their taxes themselves. The Customer Taxation Team makes sure they don’t.

We design how tax works in Raisin’s tax-advantaged products, a growing part of our offering. Examples include the new Raisin Cash ISA in the UK and the Raisin Kinderdepot, a children’s investment account that automatically uses the child’s tax allowances.

We also:

  • Calculate and withhold tax on the interest and returns customers earn.
  • Handle tax exemption orders and non-assessment certificates.
  • Provide the annual tax documents customers need for their tax returns.
  • Send the tax reports required by the relevant authorities.

Raisin operates in many European countries, each with its own tax rules and reporting obligations. As new regulations come to our platform, we make sure Raisin remains compliant.

You will lead a cross-functional team and work closely with Legal, Compliance, Country Management, Product Operations, Customer Service, Data, and external tax and banking partners.

Our goal is for customers to trust that their tax is correct, find it easy to manage, use the tax allowances they are entitled to, and have peace of mind.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own Customer Taxation End to End

Define the vision and roadmap together with Product and Engineering leadership. Take each topic from discovery to delivery to measured impact. Decide what we build first and keep stakeholders aligned on priorities, risks, and trade-offs.

  • Keep Tax Accurate and Reliable

Agree with Legal, Compliance, and country managers on what correctness looks like. Work with Engineering to ensure calculations, documents, and reporting remain stable and easy to extend.

  • Grow Raisin’s Tax Proposition

Shape how tax works when Raisin enters new markets, launches tax-advantaged products, or brings on new partners. Identify opportunities to take tax work off customers’ hands so they don’t have to declare and settle it themselves.

  • Turn Complex Rules into Simple Experiences

Translate the tax rules behind each launch into clear requirements, covering all relevant edge cases. Design the customer experience and see the work through to delivery.

  • Meet the Deadlines That Cannot Move

Make sure annual tax documents and statutory reports are accurate and delivered on time, working closely with Product Operations. Plan backwards from fixed dates and monitor data quality. Catch errors before they reach customers and escalate early when a deadline is at risk.

  • Make Tax Effortless for Customers

Keep self-service processes for tax exemption orders and non-assessment certificates intuitive, so customers get them right the first time. Give Customer Service the tools to answer tax questions quickly, especially during tax season.

  • Shape the Team Culture

Give and ask for feedback openly, share wins with the team, and treat mistakes as an opportunity to improve processes.

Your Profile

Must-Have Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of product management experience, including ownership of a technical product such as a backend, platform, or data-heavy service.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional product team and aligning engineers and stakeholders around shared priorities.
  • Experience launching new products or taking products into new markets, with the precision to get every edge case right. One incorrect tax rule can affect thousands of customers.
  • Strong analytical skills and the habit of checking and reconciling numbers yourself.
  • Curiosity about tax and a drive to make it feel easy for customers, even when the underlying rules are complex.
  • The ability to learn quickly, take feedback well, and change course when new facts emerge.
  • Energy, a strong work ethic, and a hands-on attitude toward detailed work.
  • Clear, structured written English and the confidence to explain trade-offs to senior leaders and say no with a reason.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated field such as banking, payments, insurance, or tax technology.
  • Strong knowledge of the tax regime in one or more of Raisin’s markets, for example, Germany’s Abgeltungsteuer and tax exemption orders, or statutory reporting such as CRS. Tax knowledge is not required—we will teach you.
  • Experience building tools for operations or customer service teams.

Important Attribute for This Role

  • Bridging Product and Engineering: You are comfortable discussing data models and architectural trade-offs, and you push for practical solutions that scale.
