Your Role

As a Senior Data Scientist in Pricing, you will lead the development of FINN’s pricing algorithms and strategy. Using advanced forecasting and optimization models, you’ll uncover demand trends, predict outcomes, validate impact, and provide actionable insights for our pricing team. This is an ideal role for a proactive problem solver passionate about unlocking the value of large datasets and shaping scalable pricing models.

Your Responsibilities

  • Generate data-driven insights: Analyze customer behavior, market dynamics, and price elasticity to deliver actionable insights.
  • Build and validate POCs: Design and test innovative pricing strategies and measure their business impact.
  • Design and own pricing algorithms: Develop machine learning and optimization-based pricing models for profitability and competitiveness.
  • Shape pricing strategy: Continuously refine FINN’s pricing approach in line with market and business goals.
  • Collaborate: Work cross-functionally with data, tech, and business teams to align initiatives with company priorities.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in a relevant data field (PhD is a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in e-commerce (ideally in car subscriptions, leasing, rental, airlines, or hotels)
  • Proven expertise in time-series analysis, forecasting, statistical modeling, and optimization
  • Hands-on skills with SQL, Python, Spark, and GCP
  • Experience implementing pricing strategies and building end-to-end POCs
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including C-level
  • Well-organized with documentation and clear explanation of models and assumptions
  • Ability to simplify complex problems into data-driven solutions
  • Comfort in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)

Compensation

€80,000 – €92,000 per year + VSOP

Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and performance during the hiring process. This range represents our best estimate of fair pay at the time of posting and may be adjusted in the future.
