What You Will Do
- Lead the design and deployment of AI/ML solutions focused on optimizing subsurface and well-related operations.
- Work closely with data and ML engineers to operationalize models and integrate solutions into existing digital ecosystems.
- Apply domain expertise and physics-based principles to enhance model accuracy and reliability.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance across AI initiatives and teams.
- Partner with team leads and SMEs to prioritize projects, define strategy, and deliver impactful solutions.
Role in the Team
- Drive complex AI use cases from concept to deployment as part of cross-functional enterprise teams.
- Collaborate with internal experts to enhance AI/ML capabilities and decision-making support.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
- Advanced knowledge in at least one of the following domains: time series analysis, NLP, computer vision, or agentic AI systems.
- Strong foundation in AI/ML algorithms and mathematics.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple end-to-end AI solutions with business impact.
- Proficient in Python and ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Skilled in deriving insights from complex datasets and rapidly validating hypotheses.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the energy industry, especially subsurface or drilling applications.
- Proficient with Databricks and modern data platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile product teams and collaborative development environments.
