(Senior) Controller (f/m/d) – Cloud Product Controlling

What You’ll Do

As a Product Controller, you will play a critical role in steering our business performance by managing quantity and cost per unit. You’ll work closely with Cloud Product Units and internal service teams to implement and enhance our new Product Controlling system. Your focus will be on aligning operational metrics with financial planning to promote efficiency and transparency across SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in FinOps communities and co-drive financial planning and reporting improvements.
• Develop deep understanding of SAP’s products, services, consumers, and ecosystem.
• Model KPIs and cost drivers in partnership with Cloud Applications, Solution Managers, and Product Architects.
• Own and maintain cost allocation models (e.g., “cooking recipe”) using SAP PaPM and/or S/4HANA CO-PC.
• Ensure data transparency to enable direct cost assignment and spot metric deviations.
• Drive profit contribution analysis using SAP’s business steering model.

What You Bring

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration or related field, with a focus on FP&A in production environments.
• 5+ years of experience in (product) controlling.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Controlling – Product Costing (CO-PC) and/or SAP PaPM.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP ERP customization experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to perform complex deviation analysis.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

You’ll join the Cloud Product Controlling team, part of the Business Area Controlling (BAC) – Engineering unit. This team focuses on development cost control and cloud cost visibility, supporting capability implementation, agile practices, and professional development across the Controlling organization.
