Senior Backend Engineer

🚀 Your Mission

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to help expand and optimize our digital advertisement SaaS suite. You’ll work with technologies like NodeJS with TypeScript, NestJS, federated GraphQL, Docker, AWS, and Apache Kafka to build scalable microservices and backend systems.

You will join a cross-functional team under a Product Owner, contributing to our multi-tenant SaaS product and ad-serving network. Your work will help ensure secure, fast, and stable backend processes while enabling forward-thinking, AI-first development.

💼 Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and backend components
• Ensure optimal performance of databases and responsiveness to front-end requests
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders on design and integration
• Write testable, reusable, and efficient code for high-performance applications
• Implement security protocols, data protection, and storage solutions
• Run diagnostic tests, repair defects, and provide technical support
• Document backend processes, including database schemas and message events
• Recommend and implement process and technology improvements
• Mentor and provide technical supervision to team members

🧠 Your Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS with TypeScript and backend frameworks
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with user authentication/authorization across systems and environments
• Solid understanding of scalable application design principles
• Proven experience creating database schemas that support business processes
• Good knowledge of event-driven architecture, message buses, and pub/sub systems
• Expert in implementing automated testing platforms and writing unit tests
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with git, npm, Docker, and Jira
• Experience mentoring teammates in a respectful, educational manner
• Experience using AI tools like Junie or Cursor (nice to have)
