Senior Backend Engineer

Your Mission

• Expand & optimize our digital ad SaaS suite using Node.js (TypeScript), NestJS/Federated GraphQL, Docker, AWS and Kafka.
• Design microservices and back-end components, integrating data storage, monitoring, and protection solutions.
• Develop server-side logic, define/maintain central databases and message buses, ensure high performance and responsiveness.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to estimations, planning, and architecture discussions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally under a Product Owner to design, build, and scale our multi-tenant SaaS product and ad-serving network.
• Promote engineering excellence through an AI-first mindset and setting high standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices and back-end components.
• Ensure database performance and front-end responsiveness.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and stakeholders on design integration.
• Write testable, reusable, efficient, high-performance server-side code.
• Implement security protocols, data protection, and storage solutions.
• Run diagnostics, fix defects, and provide support.
• Document server processes: database schemas, message events, sagas, and reports.
• Recommend and implement process and technology improvements.
• Mentor and supervise team members technically.

Your Profile

• 5+ years experience as a Backend Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js with TypeScript, web stacks, libraries & frameworks.
• Basic familiarity with front-end tech (HTML5, CSS3).
• Experience with authentication/authorization across systems and environments.
• Deep understanding of scalable application design principles.
• Ability to create database schemas aligned with business processes.
• Good grasp of event-driven architecture, message buses, pub/sub systems.
• Proven expertise in building automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with git, npm, Docker, and Jira.
• Experience mentoring teammates in a respectful & educational manner.
