Product Owner at Music-Tech Company

Your Mission

At Skoove (part of Learnfield), our mission is to unlock the magic of playing an instrument — and as our next Product Owner, you’ll be at the heart of that mission.

You’ll guide your cross-functional squad by turning bold ideas and real user needs into impactful features that help millions experience the joy of piano. From shaping goals to driving discovery and agile delivery — your work brings that mission to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on collaboration, learning fast, and taking full ownership.

Your Job

As Product Owner for our Piano Learning team, you will:

  • Own and manage the product backlog — define user stories, prioritize work, and maintain clarity on the “why.”
  • Translate business goals and user needs into product requirements that deliver measurable value.
  • Define and align on product OKRs and KPIs with leadership and track them to guide decisions.
  • Lead agile ceremonies: sprint planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Integrate continuous discovery — user interviews, hallway tests, fake doors, in-person testing, and more.
  • Design and execute validation strategies for features and experiments.
  • Use Mixpanel and analytics tools to test hypotheses and inform product decisions.
  • Balance user value and business impact — prioritize ruthlessly and transparently.
  • Communicate product vision and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead by example: document decisions, articulate risks, and build a strong culture of learning and ownership.
  • Collaborate with external partners like piano makers, retailers, and educators.

Your Profile

What You Bring to the Team:

  • You deeply understand and apply continuous discovery methods in everyday work.
  • You are confident in data analysis — you ask the right questions and find actionable insights fast.
  • You’ve mastered prioritization frameworks and guide strategic discussions around value vs. effort.
  • You bring an experimentation mindset — hypothesis-driven, lean, and adaptive.
  • You structure decision-making with clear hypotheses and stakeholder input.
  • You are a strong communicator, able to rally and align your team.
  • You write stories that enable focus, slice work strategically, and set up productive sprints.
  • You know how to create and track OKRs/KPIs and run effective planning workshops.
  • You balance user value, team learning, and business goals with thoughtfulness.
  • You think entrepreneurially — practical, resourceful, and user-first.
  • You understand agile ownership and know when to lead or step back.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product ownership or product management (ideally in B2C mobile, music, or edtech).
  • Proven track record of shipping digital products with measurable impact.
  • You play an instrument — piano is a big plus — and understand the learning journey.
  • You are confident with analytics, user research, and experimentation.
  • You are experienced with agile tools like Jira, Figma, Confluence, or Mixpanel.
  • You align diverse stakeholders through clear, empathetic communication.
  • You seek feedback, lead with purpose, and empower others to do great work.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in subscriptions, gaming, or educational platforms.
  • Background working with international or distributed teams.

What’s In It for You?

  • Join a values-driven company shaping the future of music education (2M+ learners and growing).
  • Work with musicians, educators, engineers, and designers who care deeply about the product.
  • €2,500/year personal learning budget + 5% time dedicated to personal development.
  • 28 vacation days and a flexible hybrid setup (up to 3 remote days per week).
  • Central Berlin office with rooftop terrace, fresh fruit, great coffee, and after-work beers.
  • Annual offsites and a supportive, international team culture.
  • Relocation support available.
