Tech & Product at Kaufland
Our Tech & Product Team consists of around 400 experts working every day to create
the best possible shopping experience for customers and an optimal selling experience
for our sellers.
Through innovative technical solutions, our teams build the foundation for a scalable,
reliable, and developer-friendly marketplace platform.
Your Tasks – What Awaits You
- Act as a proactive partner for development teams, identifying user needs and delivering value-driven solutions
- Take responsibility for critical Platform services, including GitLab, Vault, and Datadog
- Ensure platform systems are secure, stable, and up to date
- Make platform usage as simple and seamless as possible for developers
- Contribute to delivering Backstage as a single entry point for developers to explore platform capabilities
- Actively implement custom features in Go and TypeScript based on user needs
- Improve observability and provide guidelines and training to enable fast, confident decision-making
- Help reduce Mean Time To Detect (MTTD) through better platform transparency
Your Profile – What We Expect
- Strong experience in application development using Go or TypeScript
- Solid understanding of distributed systems design
- Ability to build high-quality, maintainable software and support teams by reviewing and understanding their code
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure and platform tooling, including:
- Terraform, Ansible, Helm
- Kubernetes
- CI/CD pipelines
- Experience maintaining and upgrading critical system components
- Preference for simple, high-impact solutions over overengineering
- Fluent English (C1) and enjoyment of working in an international environment
