About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join and strengthen our Commercial Analytics Team within Finance, supporting SumUp’s strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will partner closely with the Global and European Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams, building data models, creating insightful reports and dashboards, and delivering advanced analyses that drive actionable business decisions.

You will play a key role in shaping business impact while working alongside an experienced data team, contributing to the growth and development of our analytics chapter.

What You’ll Do

• Build and Maintain Data Models
  • Create and optimize data models to track financial performance and key KPIs across the customer lifecycle.
  • Monitor metrics such as recurring revenue, payback, lifetime value (LTV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
  • Leverage dbt to develop scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop Reporting & Dashboards
  • Create intuitive dashboards that enable self-service analytics for Finance teams and company leadership.
  • Ensure data visualizations are easy to understand and actionable.
• Deliver Actionable Insights
  • Partner with stakeholders to transform complex data into clear business insights.
  • Combine quantitative analysis with business context to support strategic decision-making.
• Support Business Objectives
  • Contribute to data-driven OKRs aligned with company goals.
  • Support initiatives such as merchant segmentation, performance tracking, and growth analysis.
• Collaborate Across Teams
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data is accurately collected, structured, and accessible.
  • Promote best practices in data management and analytics.

What We’re Looking For

• Analytics Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience working with large datasets and business intelligence solutions.
• Reporting & Dashboard Expertise
  • Strong experience creating advanced reports and dashboards using Google Sheets or similar tools.
  • Experience building scalable, user-friendly dashboards using Tableau or similar visualization platforms.
• Business & Financial Acumen
  • Ability to translate finance and business requirements into meaningful KPIs, data models, and actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of performance metrics and commercial analytics.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to GTM teams, Finance stakeholders, and leadership.
• Technical & Analytical Foundation
  • Strong technical skills combined with business acumen.
  • Experience in finance analytics, stakeholder management, and data visualization.
