Consumer & Business Insights – Manager of Customer Analytics

The Opportunity: Contribute to the Growth of Your Career

The Manager of Customer Analytics will lead development of two key capabilities within the Consumer & Business Insights (CBI) team:

  • Customer Behavior: Leverages TJX internal customer data to better understand our shoppers, identify opportunities to drive incremental sales, and diagnose business questions.
  • Retail Landscape: Utilizes external marketplace data to enhance understanding of retail trends, benchmark internal performance versus the market, and identify opportunities for future growth.

Together, these capabilities are critical to building a perspective of our customer base and market share growth opportunities. The Manager will set the vision and strategy for these capabilities, influencing peers and stakeholders in how data is used and analyzed, and recommending paths forward to drive business impact with insight. This position manages a team of managers and senior analysts.

Your Impact

  • Lead visioning and future opportunities to leverage or enhance customer behavior and retail landscape data to bring incremental value to CBI and stakeholders, including identifying external partners.
  • Set strategic focus for the team by developing strong, trusting relationships with CBI peers and business partners to identify high-impact areas.
  • Integrate data across multiple sources to create compelling and actionable insights that drive decision-making.
  • Partner with CBI insight and analytics team leads to identify and execute strategic applications leveraging customer and retail landscape data.
  • Manage the quarterly earnings release reporting process, ensuring customer and marketing drivers of business performance are communicated to the CFO and Investor Relations team.
  • Influence a broad stakeholder base to enhance understanding of the customer base and identify opportunities to drive divisional strategies with customer data.
  • Manage a team of four associates responsible for driving results within their respective areas.

Who We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in analytics, ideally with a customer or marketing focus.
  • Experience working with large datasets to extract, manipulate, and analyze customer data using analytical tools; SQL experience required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to translate analytical findings into business insights and influence business partners to drive action and optimize performance.
  • Experience directing a team to develop, analyze, synthesize, and communicate data and insights effectively.
  • Ability to influence across a broad array of internal and external partners.
  • Strong communication skills — both oral and written.
  • Ability to translate business or marketing problems into analytical approaches.
  • Capacity to prioritize multiple, complex projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position has a starting salary range of $113,600.00 to $147,700.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The role is also eligible for annual and long-term incentive programs.
