This full-time role (40 hours/week) is based at our Hamburg headquarters. As Lead Engineer (f/m/d) Backend, you will guide one of our engineering teams on the Agent Platform, shaping the technical vision and delivering real value to our customers.

Tasks That Let You Grow

• Take strategic, technical, and disciplinary responsibility for an engineering team within our Agent Platform.
• Define and align technical goals and set clear, measurable objectives for efficient, high-quality delivery.
• Lead and manage the full DevOps lifecycle — from architecture, design, and development to deployment, operation, and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Design, other engineering teams, and C-level stakeholders to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Coach and mentor engineers, supporting their development and helping them reach their full potential.

Your Skills That Inspire Us

• Several years of experience in a Lead Software Engineering role with a strong focus on Backend Engineering in an agile environment.
• Strong experience working with modern, complex technology stacks at scale and building distributed systems with high performance and reliability requirements.
• Expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, plus deep understanding of relational database design and SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Deep understanding of modern cloud-based backend architectures and technologies (GCP preferred).
• A passion for people development — helping engineers grow is as important to you as delivering great technology.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
