Head of Analytics

About the Role

We’re looking for a forward-thinking analytics leader to turn data into a competitive edge in the new era of digital mobility. You’ll shape our analytics vision, translate business strategy into measurable outcomes, and build a data ecosystem that powers smarter, faster decisions through a period of transformation and increased investor visibility. The role will work closely with our CFO and CPO, reporting directly to our Director of Data and Analytics.

What You’ll Do

  • Set the Direction: Define and drive our analytics roadmap — from core KPIs and financial modeling to predictive insights that steer growth and efficiency in a PE-backed environment.
  • Build the Foundation: Expand and refine our data infrastructure, ensuring clean, consistent, and connected information across all systems.
  • Own the Truth: Establish a single source of truth for business metrics, prioritizing transparency, governance, and investor/audit readiness.
  • Empower the Team: Grow and mentor a cross-functional analytics team, fostering curiosity, precision, and data-driven thinking.
  • Partner to Impact: Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to transform insights into action and support decision-making from operational performance to board-level reporting.

Who You Are

  • A strategic thinker who loves turning numbers into narratives and impact.
  • Experienced in scaling analytics functions in tech-driven environments, with strong hands-on technical and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable in investor-backed or PE-owned settings, able to navigate complex reporting and strategic transformation.
  • Passionate about data quality, collaboration, and enabling teams to move with confidence.

What We’re Looking For

Leadership & Experience

  • 10+ years in Analytics, BI, or Data Science, including 4+ years of senior leadership in high-growth tech environments.
  • A balance of strategic vision and hands-on ability (e.g., SQL, Python) — leading by example and direction.
  • Proven experience leading analytics in PE-backed or investor-led transformations, including board reporting and financial steering.
  • Track record of scaling analytics through critical growth phases such as funding rounds, expansion, or organizational transformation.

Metrics & Business Fluency

  • Deep understanding of marketplace and growth metrics — unit economics, funnels, cohorts, CAC/LTV, retention, churn, and contribution margin.
  • Strong ability to connect operational KPIs with financial outcomes across P&L and balance sheet.
  • Experience designing investor dashboards, management reporting packs, and value creation metrics (PE or institutional investors a plus).
  • Experience with marketplace, subscription, or platform-based models is a strong plus.

Technical Expertise

  • Hands-on experience with modern data architectures (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, dbt, orchestration frameworks).
  • Skilled in building metric frameworks, event schemas, and BI environments (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase).
  • Strong foundation in data quality, lineage, testing, versioning, and monitoring best practices.

Strategic & Communicative

  • Ability to plan 12–24 months ahead while balancing scale, risk, and resources.
  • Skilled at translating complex analytics into clear, compelling narratives for executives, boards, and stakeholders.
  • Confident in defending methodologies, assumptions, and insights.
