The Role

We are looking for a Global Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team in Berlin.

In this role, you will support the accounting operations of multiple international entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient month-end close processes. You’ll collaborate with global finance teams, auditors, and business partners while contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

What You’ll Do

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for multiple international entities, including journal entries, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across global operations.
• Coordinate and reconcile intercompany accounts and support consolidation activities.
• Assist with financial consolidation in accordance with German GAAP (HGB).
• Work with external auditors and internal stakeholders during audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with local finance teams and external service providers on payroll, VAT/GST, and statutory reporting.
• Support the development and implementation of global accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Participate in ERP system implementations and process improvement initiatives.
• Promote Wellhub’s culture by supporting wellbeing, collaboration, and a healthy work-life balance.

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial close processes, and global business operations.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) and other European accounting standards; experience with US GAAP is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting and consolidation systems such as Datev and Lucanet.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power Pivot and basic SQL is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
• Fluent English.
