Business Developer – Teleport (Germany)

As Business Developer for Teleport, you are the primary point of contact for clients and prospects in Germany. You build relationships with solar park owners, wind operators, battery asset owners, and energy traders (Direktvermarkters), helping them operate more flexibly within the future energy system.

  • Market Builder. Establish and grow Withthegrid’s presence in Germany.
  • Client Partner. Deliver tailored solutions in collaboration with Commercial and Solution Engineering teams.
  • Cross-Border Focus. Support both German clients and Dutch customers expanding into Germany.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Sales. Build your own target list, qualify leads, develop proposals, and close deals.
  • Relationship Management. Establish long-term partnerships and advise clients on flexible grid participation.
  • CRM & Reporting. Maintain accurate sales processes in HubSpot and report progress.
  • Market Development. Identify emerging opportunities and proactively respond to sector trends.
  • Collaboration. Work closely with Sales and Marketing to create content, attend industry events, and strengthen market visibility.

Your Profile

  • Experience. 5–10 years in sales or business development within the German energy sector.
  • Network. Ideally connected to Direktvermarkters, energy suppliers, O&M providers, EPCs, and asset owners in Germany.
  • Ecosystem Builder. Proven track record in building partnerships from scratch (Cold Start problem).
  • Commercial & Technical Mindset. Strong technical affinity and ability to bridge business and engineering perspectives.
  • Communication. Excellent German and English skills.
  • Adaptability. Comfortable in a fast-evolving technical and regulatory landscape.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive. Motivated to build Withthegrid Germany from the ground up.
  • Tools. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Purpose-Driven. Strong intrinsic motivation to contribute to the energy transition.
