The Programmatic Data Science team works at high velocity, developing state-of-the-art algorithms to power our real-time bidding system.
We combine deep research in user behavior with a strong focus on publisher and advertiser goals, ensuring a seamless and effective ad experience.

What You Will Do

• Grow and lead a high-performing data science team – from hiring to establishing team routines and setting technical guidelines.
• Translate business goals into data-driven solutions to make our WAVE platform a top competitor in AdTech.
• Be hands-on – spend at least 50% of your time working directly on data science projects.
• Mentor and develop your team – support skill growth in analysis, programming, communication, and planning.
• Own critical documentation – including experiments, implementation details, and internal knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with the WAVE product team and Cloud Infrastructure team on tooling, best practices, and priorities.
• Contribute to strategic planning – including long-term roadmaps and quarterly OKRs.

Who You Are

• You have a degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related field – or 5+ years of professional data science experience.
• You have 2+ years of experience as a Data Science Lead (hiring, 1-on-1s, career planning).
• You are fluent in Python, R, Scala, Julia, or other data science languages.
• You are highly analytical and always consider multiple solutions to any challenge.
• You have experience working with large data sets and technologies such as AWS Athena, Kafka, Spark, Flink, S3, MySQL.
• You can explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear, accessible way.
• You are an excellent communicator and thrive in cross-team collaborations.
• Bonus: Experience building a Data Science tech stack (e.g. Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Flink), and selecting the right tools with MLOps and Data Engineers.
