We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team maintains the critical physical infrastructure supporting Amazon’s Data Center Organization. The goal: 100% availability while delivering first-class service to internal customers.

Amazon offers a dynamic, challenging, and creative environment that encourages learning, growth, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the facility.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining all Data Center systems, including incidents, problems, changes, event handling, and escalations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
  • Support contractors and Data Center engineers to ensure proper operation of facility equipment, including areas requiring certification (fiber optics, HVAC repair, electrical, UPS, generator, etc.).
  • Assist in deploying new equipment such as building racks, cabling, and completing necessary hands-on tasks.
  • Respond to internal rack customer maintenance, repair, and expansion requests via the ticketing system.
  • Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
  • Maintain mission-critical infrastructure states in support of corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Review testing for quality, performance, safety, and reliability of equipment and processes.
