Your Role

As an Associate SAP Software Engineer, you will join the ERP Product Team and collaborate closely with our Finance & Legal departments.

Working within a highly integrated and automated system landscape, you will design, develop, and implement scalable SAP S/4HANA solutions that seamlessly integrate with the broader FINN technology ecosystem.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build in SAP S/4HANA

    • Develop, extend, and maintain ABAP solutions within the SAP S/4HANA Cloud environment.
    • Begin with focused development tasks and quickly expand into larger projects.
  • Take Ownership Early

    • Own features, interfaces, or business processes from design through implementation and support.
    • Drive solutions independently while collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Work Across the FINN Technology Stack

    • Collaborate with systems beyond SAP, including Make, Node.js, Python, Retool, and the Data Warehouse.
    • Trace and optimize end-to-end data flows across multiple platforms.
  • Analyze and Solve Business Problems

    • Work directly with Finance stakeholders to understand underlying business challenges.
    • Recommend improvements and alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Learn Modern SAP Technologies

    • Work with Clean Core principles, Released APIs, RAP, OData, SAP BTP, and side-by-side extensibility.
    • Continuously expand your expertise with support from experienced team members.

Your Profile

  • Education & Experience

    • Recent Computer Science graduate or 1–3 years of software engineering experience.
  • SAP & ABAP Foundation

    • Basic SAP/ABAP knowledge gained through internships, student roles, certifications, bootcamps, or professional experience.
    • Strong interest in growing your SAP development expertise.
  • Interest in Modern Technologies

    • Open to working with technologies such as Make, Node.js, Python, Retool, Data Warehousing, and dbt.
    • Previous hands-on experience is a plus but not required.
  • Modern SAP Development Mindset

    • Interest in Clean Core architecture, Released APIs, RAP, SAP BTP, and side-by-side extensibility.
    • Motivated to build these skills as part of your professional toolkit.
  • Analytical Thinking

    • Data-driven and comfortable exploring unfamiliar systems.
    • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
  • Communication & Collaboration

    • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
    • Comfortable working directly with Finance teams and business users.
  • Languages

    • Fluent English required.
    • German language skills are considered a plus.

Compensation

  • Annual Gross Salary: €55,000 – €68,000
  • Additional Compensation: Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP)

Individual compensation within this range is determined based on experience, qualifications, and expertise.
