About the Opportunity

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our high-performing sales organization and drive strategic growth across a portfolio of key enterprise customers in Germany.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, helping enterprise organizations realize measurable business value through the adoption and expansion of New Relic’s observability platform.

You will work closely with senior technical and business stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and driving long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategic Account Plans:
    Create and execute multi-year account strategies for a portfolio of high-value enterprise customers.
  • Build Executive Relationships:
    Establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers, including CTOs, Vice Presidents of Engineering, SRE leaders, and DevOps executives.
  • Drive Enterprise Expansion:
    Identify, qualify, and close complex upsell and cross-sell opportunities by understanding customer environments, architectures, and business priorities.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams:
    Coordinate and guide virtual account teams consisting of Solution Consultants, Sales Development Representatives, and Marketing stakeholders.
  • Maintain Forecast Accuracy:
    Manage pipeline health, forecast revenue accurately, and provide insights into deal progression and strategic opportunities using Salesforce.
  • Lead Negotiations:
    Manage enterprise contract negotiations, renewals, procurement processes, and legal reviews for large-scale agreements.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in a quota-carrying, enterprise-focused B2B SaaS sales role.
  • Proven success driving expansion opportunities, complex renewals, and strategic account growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving six- and seven-figure opportunities.
  • Experience managing sales cycles exceeding six months in duration.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales methodologies such as:

    • MEDDPIC
    • Challenger Sales
    • Value-Based Selling
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the German enterprise market and business culture.
  • Eligibility to work in the applicable location. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
