What You Will Learn

The Costco Account Lead role at L’Oréal provides an exceptional opportunity to act as both a business owner and a contributor to the Club & New Business Development sales team. This role offers a blend of strategic business development, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and exposure to senior leadership and key customers.

Mission & Defining Characteristics

  • Leverage entrepreneurial mindset to build and evolve customer strategy using industry trends and insights
  • Lead sales fundamentals to drive shipments, net sales, and market share
  • Act as category expert across the full CPD Brand portfolio at Costco
  • Collaborate with Customer Marketing & Analytics to build sell-in stories and performance reporting
  • Serve as a key member of the CPD Club & New Business Development team

Main Tasks

Customer Developer, Relationship Builder & Entrepreneur

  • Adopt an omnichannel approach with a focus on shopper insights
  • Develop customer-specific assortment strategy and negotiate JBPs with buyers
  • Align with Brand and Commercial Team Lead on strategy and financials

Category Owner & Support

  • Implement brand-led category strategies and provide input to influence them
  • Engage cross-functional partners (CRM, marketing, finance, etc.) for execution

Team Manager

  • Collaborate and lead multifunctional teams
  • Mentor junior team members (e.g., JSA, MT)

Results Driver & Contributor

  • Lead with a performance and results-driven mindset
  • Achieve omnichannel growth based on aligned customer plans
  • Monitor and analyze forecasts and sales to identify opportunities

Qualifications / Experience

  • 5–7+ years of commercial experience (customer-facing or internal brand strategy preferred)
  • College Degree required; Master’s is a plus
  • Expertise in customer strategy, sales levers, and category analysis
  • Experience in beauty and personal care industries strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills using POS, syndicated data, and shipment info
  • Proven relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strategic, results-driven, self-motivated, and innovative
  • Excellent time, project, and priority management skills
