About the Role

As a Senior Vehicle Security Engineer, you will play a key role in protecting the cybersecurity of our autonomous mobility platform and next-generation autonomous vehicles, including the ID. Buzz AD.

You will work across the complete product lifecycle—from concept and development through deployment and operations—to design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity strategies that safeguard vehicles, users, and supporting infrastructure. Working closely with engineering, safety, and cross-functional teams, you’ll help ensure our products remain secure, resilient, and compliant with automotive cybersecurity standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity Architecture
  • Define cybersecurity concepts and system boundaries for autonomous mobility features.
  • Consider real-world operating environments throughout the design process.
• Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment
  • Conduct Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARA) in accordance with ISO/SAE 21434.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and evaluate potential attack scenarios.
  • Translate assessment results into security requirements and mitigation strategies.
• Secure Product Development
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support secure design, implementation, testing, deployment, and incident response activities.
• Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure compliance with automotive cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
  • Support multiple projects in meeting security certification requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Functional Safety teams to align cybersecurity and safety requirements.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and define security requirements across disciplines.

Your Profile

• Education
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Professional Experience
  • Several years of experience in cybersecurity or a related engineering role.
  • Ideally gained within the automotive, mobility, or embedded systems industry.
• Cybersecurity Expertise
  • Hands-on experience with threat modeling and risk assessment for embedded or distributed systems.
  • Experience implementing security features in software or hardware systems.
  • Knowledge of secure communications, authentication protocols, and modern cybersecurity technologies.
• Standards & Compliance
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO/SAE 21434 and/or UNR 155 certification processes.
• Additional Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of policy-driven security frameworks such as RBAC, ABAC, or Open Policy Agent (OPA).
  • Experience with incident response, SLOs, SLIs, or on-call engineering practices.
• Communication & Leadership
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for mentoring colleagues and leading technical discussions.
  • Business-level written and spoken English.
