Global Brand & Marketing Director

About the Role

As Global Brand & Marketing Director, you will lead Crytek’s global marketing function across brand, creative, performance, and lifecycle marketing, reporting directly to the Chief Publishing Officer. You will be responsible for how Hunt: Showdown 1896 and future unannounced titles are positioned, launched, and grown in the global market.

You will lead the marketing team, building the creative engine and operating model that connects Crytek’s games with players through impactful campaigns that drive engagement, strengthen communities, and deliver measurable commercial success.

This role requires a combination of strategic leadership, creative vision, and commercial expertise to translate ambitious brand objectives into customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Crytek’s global marketing strategy across brand, creative, paid media, and CRM.
  • Lead global positioning and creative direction for Hunt: Showdown 1896 and future game launches across all marketing channels.
  • Own the marketing budget (P&L), channel strategy, and key performance metrics, including CAC, LTV, ROAS, and retention.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing in-house creative team spanning art direction, video production, design, and campaign operations.
  • Coordinate creative, paid media, and CRM activities during major product launches to maximise impact.
  • Partner with Publishing and Product leadership to translate product strategy into seasonal marketing plans and campaigns.
  • Champion the use of AI across research, analytics, and marketing operations to improve efficiency and creative output.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the marketing team while fostering accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing leadership across brand, performance marketing, and CRM.
  • At least 5 years’ experience within the video games industry.
  • Proven success leading global launches and live-service marketing across multiple game portfolios.
  • Strong commercial understanding of customer acquisition, lifetime value, paid media optimisation, lifecycle marketing, and retention strategies.
  • Experience building and leading multidisciplinary creative teams across art, design, video, and copywriting.
  • Demonstrated use of player insights, audience segmentation, and AI tools to improve marketing performance.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and experience working within global, matrix organisations.
  • A genuine passion for video games and a strong understanding of player communities.
  • Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
