Director of Key Account Management

As Director of Key Account Management, you will own BuildingMinds’ most strategic customer relationships and drive long-term revenue growth across our enterprise account portfolio.

You will combine executive-level relationship management with strong commercial leadership, acting as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders while identifying and delivering new business opportunities.

This is an individual contributor role initially, with the opportunity to build and lead the Key Account Management function as the business continues to grow.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and execute key account strategy
    • Develop the company-wide Key Account Management strategy, including account prioritization, growth targets, and operating playbooks.
    • Monitor execution and provide executive reporting on portfolio health, revenue performance, and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Manage strategic customer relationships
    • Own strategic account plans aligned with long-term customer success and company objectives.
    • Act as the senior point of contact and trusted advisor for executive stakeholders across key accounts.
    • Expand relationships by engaging additional decision-makers and sponsors within customer organizations.
  • Drive commercial growth
    • Identify, develop, and close upselling and cross-selling opportunities across your portfolio.
    • Support and influence other Key Account Managers in identifying additional commercial opportunities within their accounts.
    • Develop account growth strategies based on customer priorities, investment plans, and future budget cycles.
    • Own pricing strategy, commercial structuring, contract renewals, and negotiations.
  • Champion AI-driven customer value
    • Lead conversations with enterprise customers to identify how AI capabilities can solve business challenges.
    • Translate AI opportunities into compelling commercial proposals and long-term customer value.
  • Ensure successful delivery and customer success
    • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Solution Engineers to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
    • Translate customer requirements into effective solution designs.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for strategic customer issues and proactively mitigate retention risks.
  • Support organizational growth
    • Coach and mentor Key Account Managers as a senior advisor and subject matter expert.
    • Contribute to building and scaling the future Key Account Management organization.
    • Drive 100% retention across your strategic account portfolio while successfully closing priority pipeline opportunities.

Your Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial, enterprise sales, or account management roles, and/or 5+ years within the real estate industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing and growing complex enterprise accounts involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong experience leading upselling, cross-selling, pricing, and commercial negotiations at Director or C-suite level.
  • Experience within the real estate or PropTech sector is strongly preferred.
  • Fluent written and spoken French and English; German is an advantage.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable developing account strategies and personally closing commercial opportunities.
  • Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate innovation into measurable customer value.
  • Experience working within fast-growing, international scale-up environments.
  • Collaborative mindset combined with strong ownership and accountability.
