Senior Full-Stack Developer
As a Senior Full-Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing scalable ground control station applications used in mission-critical defence operations.
You’ll build high-performance systems that coordinate autonomous platforms, integrate with external command-and-control systems, and provide operators with reliable, real-time situational awareness.
Your Responsibilities
- Design scalable full-stack applications
- Architect and develop ground control station applications that balance performance, reliability, and operator usability.
- Build maintainable, production-ready software for mission-critical environments.
- Develop real-time communication systems
- Create communication layers connecting command-and-control (C2) systems, autonomous platforms, and sensor networks.
- Implement reliable, low-latency communication using REST APIs and WebSocket technologies.
- Build high-performance data pipelines
- Design low-latency data processing pipelines for target tracking, sensor fusion, and tactical decision support.
- Optimize system performance for real-time operational requirements.
- Ensure system reliability
- Implement comprehensive logging, distributed tracing, monitoring, and real-time metrics.
- Support observability and operational excellence across distributed systems.
- Create intuitive operator interfaces
- Develop modern desktop and web-based tactical interfaces that provide clear situational awareness for operators.
- Deliver user experiences optimized for real-time decision-making.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, including real-time or mission-critical applications.
- Experience building modern frontend applications using React or Angular with TypeScript.
- Backend development experience using Node.js or Python (Flask or FastAPI).
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and WebSocket-based real-time communication.
- Experience working with relational, NoSQL, in-memory, and time-series databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and InfluxDB.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and messaging or telemetry protocols.
- Experience working in Linux environments and using Docker, Nginx, and CI/CD pipelines to build and maintain production systems.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, including state machines, coordinate frames, sensor fusion, and Kalman filtering.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture.
