The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AI Engineer to join our
Customer Engineering (CE) Team.
In this customer-facing role, you will collaborate directly with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers
to design, deploy, and optimize AI-driven solutions that solve real-world challenges in connected
vehicle environments.
Operating within a forward-deployed engineering model, you will work closely with customer engineering
teams to deliver end-to-end AI solutions, from problem definition and architecture design to deployment,
integration, and ongoing optimization.
Your Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Solution Strategy
- Partner with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers to identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases.
- Guide customers toward scalable and sustainable AI-driven solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the solution lifecycle.

Technical Leadership
- Shape problem definitions and challenge assumptions to ensure successful solution outcomes.
- Drive technical decision-making through data-driven recommendations and architectural guidance.
- Communicate trade-offs, ROI, and long-term implications to technical and executive stakeholders.

AI Solution Design & Deployment
- Design, integrate, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions across cloud and in-vehicle environments.
- Enable end-to-end vehicle-to-cloud workflows and seamless system interoperability.
- Ensure reliable data movement and integration across distributed systems.

Model Development & Optimization
- Develop machine learning models, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready AI solutions.
- Continuously improve model performance using real-world operational data and customer feedback.
- Evaluate AI feasibility, performance, and system constraints.

Risk Management
- Identify deployment and integration risks related to security, reliability, data availability, and performance.
- Develop and execute mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and AI Platform teams.
- Contribute to platform scalability, deployment automation, and enhanced AI capabilities.
- Share customer insights to influence product direction and platform evolution.

Technical Reviews & Consulting
- Lead technical workshops, architecture reviews, and AI solution discussions.
- Provide guidance on model performance, limitations, and deployment strategies.
- Help customers navigate complex and ambiguous technical challenges.
Required Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.

Professional Experience
- 12+ years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience working with automotive software, connected vehicles, or vehicle systems.

AI & Machine Learning Expertise
- Strong understanding of machine learning, AI systems, and advanced analytics.
- Proven track record delivering AI solutions in production environments.
- Hands-on experience developing, integrating, and deploying machine learning models.

Data Engineering & Analytics
- Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and analytics workflows.
- Strong understanding of model-driven architectures and data processing systems.

Cloud & Infrastructure
- Experience deploying and operating software in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or customer-managed infrastructure.
- Experience integrating cloud platforms with APIs, external systems, and data services.

Containerization & Deployment
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of scalable deployment and orchestration practices.

Customer-Facing Leadership
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and decision-making during customer engagements.
- Experience leading discovery sessions and translating business challenges into technical solutions.

Communication & Collaboration
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong presentation, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving alignment across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Customer Engineering, Solution Engineering, or Forward-Deployed Engineering roles.
- Knowledge of automotive software architectures and connected vehicle ecosystems.
- Experience with modern AI approaches such as Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or intelligent automation frameworks.
- Experience deploying AI solutions at enterprise scale.
