About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Team Leader to join our growing Engineering organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams, driving delivery excellence, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the growth and development of team members. You will be part of the Distribusion leadership team and report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, eCommerce.
Our eCommerce division has grown rapidly and now includes more than 50 engineers. We are seeking a leader who can combine strong technical expertise with effective people management to help teams perform at their highest level.
What You Will Do

Lead and Develop Engineering Teams
- Manage, mentor, and grow engineering teams.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and career development.
- Support hiring and team expansion initiatives.

Strengthen the Technology Organization
- Advocate for and drive initiatives that enhance Distribusion’s technical brand.
- Establish organizational structures within the engineering domain.
- Introduce and support squad leads and their operational processes.

Improve Engineering Excellence
- Increase the quality, reliability, and stability of services.
- Promote engineering best practices and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvements in team productivity and delivery.

Resource Planning & Delivery
- Plan team capacity and resources aligned with quarterly roadmaps.
- Ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Incident Management
- Own and oversee incident management processes.
- Ensure rapid response, resolution, and continuous improvement practices.

Architectural Leadership
- Take responsibility for architectural design decisions within the domain.
- Guide system design and technical strategy.
- Ensure scalable and maintainable software solutions.

Who You Are

Experienced Engineering Leader
- Proven experience leading Frontend or Full-Stack engineering teams.
- Background in high-growth startups, scaleups, or similar fast-paced environments.

Strong Technical Foundation
- Comfortable reviewing code across ReactJS, Python, and Ruby.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Able to support technical problem-solving when needed.

Architecture & Distributed Systems Expertise
- Deep understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience designing event-driven systems and asynchronous communication patterns.
- Knowledge of scalable distributed systems.

- Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
- Experience managing performance and supporting professional growth.
