About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Market Sales Manager to lead our DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) Mid-Market sales team.

This opportunity arises from the internal promotion of the previous manager to a Director-level role, highlighting the career growth opportunities available at Samsara.

You will inherit a high-performing team of Account Executives selling Samsara’s Connected Operations platform to organizations across:

  • Transportation
  • Logistics
  • Field Services
  • Construction
  • Manufacturing

Your mission is to transform a strong team into a consistently exceptional one by building a predictable outbound pipeline engine, coaching individual contributors, and translating strategy into daily execution.

Location: Germany (Remote-First)
Language Requirement: Native German Fluency

What You Will Do

  • Lead and Develop a High-Performing Sales Team

    • Own performance, development, and success of Mid-Market Account Executives across DACH.
    • Drive accountability around pipeline generation, activity metrics, forecasting, and execution.
    • Conduct structured coaching and performance reviews.
  • Provide Individualized Coaching

    • Tailor coaching to each representative’s development stage.
    • Support territory planning, discovery processes, deal strategy, and closing techniques.
    • Help reps navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Build a Predictable Pipeline Engine

    • Establish rep-level pipeline generation targets.
    • Conduct weekly pipeline reviews and forecasting sessions.
    • Identify and address coverage gaps before they impact results.
  • Support Strategic Deals

    • Participate in key opportunities as both coach and closer.
    • Strengthen qualification rigor and deal progression.
    • Assist with complex negotiations and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment

    • Partner closely with Sales Engineering, ADR leadership, Marketing, and senior leadership.
    • Translate company strategy into practical team execution.
    • Optimize territory planning and resource allocation.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent

    • Source and attract top-performing sales professionals.
    • Lead a rigorous hiring and onboarding process.
    • Build a strong talent pipeline for future growth.
  • Scale the DACH Business

    • Share best practices across sales leadership teams.
    • Contribute to broader commercial and operational initiatives.
    • Help build the foundation for future team expansion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Sales Leadership Experience

    • Minimum 2 years of experience as a frontline sales manager.
    • Experience leading at least 5 Account Executives within a B2B SaaS or technology environment.
    • Strong background in outbound-led sales organizations.
  • Individual Contributor Success

    • At least 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience before moving into management.
    • Demonstrated success building pipeline from scratch.
  • Sales Methodology Expertise

    • Strong experience coaching teams through complex sales cycles.
    • Proficiency with MEDDPICC or equivalent qualification frameworks.
    • Ability to inspect and improve pipeline quality.
  • Performance Management

    • Experience running structured coaching plans.
    • Comfortable providing constructive feedback and managing performance challenges.
  • Location & Travel

    • Based in Germany.
    • Willingness to travel across the DACH region.
