About the Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and own the critical cloud infrastructure behind our AI-powered robotics platform.

This role is ideal for someone who combines expertise in cloud architecture, networking, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and software engineering, while taking full ownership of technical challenges and solutions.

This is a full-time position based in Braunschweig, Germany. We offer hybrid flexibility and expect team members to collaborate on-site approximately 2–3 days per week.

• Help scale the platform as customer adoption accelerates.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of our cloud and edge infrastructure.
• Elevate engineering standards around observability, security, and operational excellence.
• Eliminate operational bottlenecks through automation and architectural improvements.
• Influence major technical decisions across the entire technology stack.

Your Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
  • Design, build, and continuously improve cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Own and operate our Kubernetes platform running on AWS EKS.
  • Ensure infrastructure remains scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Networking & Security Architecture
  • Design secure, scalable, and operationally efficient networking architectures.
  • Work with technologies such as Tailscale, Kubernetes, and Istio.
  • Implement best practices for cloud networking and security.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Pulumi and TypeScript.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• GitOps & Deployment Automation
  • Develop and improve GitOps workflows.
  • Leverage GitHub and ArgoCD to streamline deployments and operations.
• Software Development & Automation
  • Build internal tooling and automation solutions.
  • Develop production-quality code in TypeScript and Python.
  • Continuously reduce operational complexity through automation.
• Observability & Monitoring
  • Improve platform visibility using Prometheus, Grafana, and modern monitoring practices.
  • Implement proactive alerting and performance monitoring.
• Production Support & Incident Management
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, applications, and robotics systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
• Technical Leadership
  • Drive architectural decisions that shape the future of the platform.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, robotics engineers, and company leadership.
  • Contribute to long-term technical strategy and platform evolution.

Required Qualifications
