Engineering Manager – Customer Risk Lifecycle

Engineering Manager

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead, manage, and grow a group of talented engineers, working closely with product managers and key business stakeholders on exciting and impactful initiatives at N26.

The Customer Risk Lifecycle segment is responsible for systems managing anti-money laundering and fraud risks. This role will focus on the Digital Identity Team, whose mission is to provide a secure and frictionless authentication experience for customers.

What You’ll Do

• Support, invest in, and develop a high-performing team of talented engineers through regular 1:1s, goal setting, feedback, and coaching.
• Recruit, manage, and retain top engineering talent.
• Create growth opportunities for team members through technical and non-technical mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Foster a positive and high-performing work environment built on transparency, accountability, and trust.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and operations teams on project planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement.
• Work with leadership and cross-functional teams to unblock dependencies and provide visibility into product initiative progress.

• Proven experience growing, coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members, including handling difficult conversations.
• Experience managing and delivering impactful projects.
• Experience working on rapidly evolving products within an agile environment.
• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
• Passion for people development and improving workplace environments.
• Interest in working within a fast-paced and rapidly growing company.
• Professional proficiency in written English.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working in a FinTech company or within a DevOps-oriented environment.
• Good understanding of infrastructure, operations, and engineering practices.
