About the Role

As an Android Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy mobile solutions that enhance our ride-hailing functionality.
At Bolt, mobile engineers are typically onboarded to back-end development within their first year, offering an excellent opportunity to grow into a full-stack engineer.

Our engineers combine strong technical skills with product thinking. You’ll actively shape and drive impactful product initiatives in close partnership with your Product Manager and team.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, A/B test, and deploy solutions that improve the user journey
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to define and implement API integrations for micro-mobility business logic
• Thoroughly test solutions through meaningful unit tests and close collaboration with QA to cover standard and edge cases
• Develop a deep understanding of product impact on business metrics and user experience
• Contribute ideas and constructive feedback to the product roadmap
• Lead feature development end-to-end, from idea to validated user impact
• Monitor and ensure feature success even after release

About You

• Strong ability to make data-driven decisions that positively impact the business
• Experience in product-driven environments with a strong experimentation mindset (a plus)
• Drive to lead initiatives through completion, even when challenges arise
• Experience testing and releasing mobile changes across multiple Android versions
• Hands-on experience with unit testing and automation testing frameworks
• Strong commitment to writing clean, simple, secure, and maintainable code
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
