Your mission: build extendable products that enhance every layer of the commerce stack—from exceptional buying experiences to groundbreaking financial products and developer tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable Rails applications, pushing the boundaries of Ruby.
• Solve complex engineering problems with full ownership over products impacting millions daily.
• Collaborate across disciplines to ship projects weekly, fostering rapid iteration and improvement.
• Engage with Shopify leadership, including CEO Tobi, who is deeply involved in coding and sets technical direction.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliability and performance of Shopify systems.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering proficiency and a passion for exploring technological limits, regardless of stack.
• Experience building scalable, user-centric applications that enhance the commerce experience.
