What We’re Looking For

As an Indirect Tax Technology Consultant (m/f/d), you will be at the forefront of
Indirect Tax compliance transformation, leveraging advanced data analytics to support
data-driven processes.

You will be a key cross-functional partner, collaborating closely with teams such as
Fintech, Accounting & Tax, Supply Chain, as well as external technology and advisory partners.

This role will be based in Berlin, with the option for a hybrid working model and
regular weekly attendance in the Berlin office. We are specifically considering candidates
based in the Leipzig, Dresden, and Berlin-Brandenburg regions.

Responsibilities

• Driving accurate and timely Indirect Tax compliance and reporting processes
• Performing deep data analysis and reconciliation using SAP, integrated systems, and BI tools such as Power BI
• Analyzing and documenting tax impacts of new corporate projects
• Supporting the preparation and review of Indirect Tax returns (VAT, Intrastat, Excise Duty, DAC7, Digital Services Tax)
• Coordinating with external tax advisors
• Collaborating with IT & Finance to optimize tax-related processes (AI, automation, digitalization)
• Assisting with requests from tax authorities
• Supporting the management of Indirect Tax-related projects
• Growing your expertise through continuous learning, including participation in our Finance Academy

Qualifications

• Completed degree (minimum Bachelor) in:
  • Tax / Finance, or
  • IT with finance-related coursework
• 1–3 years of professional experience, ideally in a retail environment
• Strong passion for technology and motivation to explore new tools for process optimization
• Advanced skills in English or German
• Agile mindset with excellent analytical skills and high integrity
• Proactive, self-motivated team player with strong task and time management skills
• Ability to manage routine tasks independently with moderate guidance
• Basic knowledge of tools such as SAP, Power BI, Jira, and Confluence
• Second language skills are a plus
