Lead Product Designer

About the Role

As Lead Product Designer at JustPlay, you will shape the design vision and elevate
our product design function for a platform used by millions of players.

With a strong focus on content discovery, player motivation, and engagement design,
you will bring proven expertise in gamification to create experiences that inspire
players and drive long-term retention.

You will drive measurable business impact through design while helping unlock
operational efficiency by integrating AI tools and workflows across the digital
product development lifecycle.

As a design leader, you will coach, mentor, and grow designers, fostering a culture
of creativity, accountability, and continuous learning. You will collaborate closely
with cross-functional partners to deliver both bold long-term visions and
high-impact short-term improvements.

Job Responsibilities

Design Leadership

• Lead user experience from conception to launch, defining and advocating the design vision for one of the world’s top entertainment apps
• Manage, mentor, and support a team of product designers across iOS, Android, and web
• Build a culture of craft, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Champion design across the organization, establishing design-led practices
• Drive measurable business outcomes by balancing player delight and company growth
• Promote and integrate AI-assisted design tools to increase quality and velocity

Hands-On Design

• Create user-centric designs, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for the JustPlay app
• Develop features that elevate the end-to-end player journey, with emphasis on discovery and loyalty gamification
• Build and evolve JustPlay’s design system and design guidelines

Collaboration & Strategy

• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions within technical constraints
• Apply iOS and Android best practices to ensure seamless, high-quality mobile experiences
• Translate research insights and analytics into actionable design concepts
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to streamline design operations

Continuous Improvement

• Establish and scale design processes that grow with the team
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve usability and engagement
• Stay current with mobile gaming trends and the advertising ecosystem
• Foster a high-performing, growth-minded design team through mentorship and feedback

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading a mobile product design team, ideally in entertainment or gaming
• Experience scaling or refining design teams and processes
• A strong portfolio showcasing impactful mobile design work
• Proven expertise in gamification and user engagement design
• Expert proficiency in Figma
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to design craft

Nice to Have

• Background in loyalty or rewards platforms
• Experience in mobile gaming
• Deep understanding of mobile gaming trends and the advertising landscape
