About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and evolve a modern AWS-based platform.

You will focus on reliability, observability, automation, security, and CI/CD, while occasionally supporting backend engineers with troubleshooting or small contributions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, improving developer workflows, and driving technical excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Own and improve AWS infrastructure across staging and production
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
  • Manage containerized workloads on ECS Fargate
  • Strengthen observability: metrics, dashboards, logging, alerting
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Enhance IAM, secrets management, and cloud security
  • Maintain RDS databases (Postgres & MySQL)
  • Support backend teams with debugging, migrations, or small changes in Node.js / NestJS
  • Drive automation, reliability, and scalability across the platform

What We’re Looking For

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong AWS expertise, including:
    • VPC (subnets, routing, NAT gateways, ALBs, security groups)
    • Route53
    • ECS (Fargate)
    • Lambda
    • RDS (MySQL / Postgres)
    • SQS / SNS
    • CloudWatch
    • S3
  • Strong experience with Terraform
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking and secure infrastructure design
  • Hands-on experience operating RDS (backups, upgrades, failovers)
  • Advanced CloudWatch usage (metrics, dashboards, alarms, Logs Insights)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, Lambda)
  • Strong proficiency with Docker and containerized deployments
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and modern CI/CD workflows
  • Programming skills in Python or Golang
  • Working knowledge of Node.js / NestJS

Additional Desired Experience

  • Docker image hardening and optimization (multi-stage builds, non-root users)
  • API gateways and OpenAPI automation
  • SSO / SAML / OIDC integrations
  • AWS WAF or KMS (nice to have)
  • Advanced secrets management
  • Reusable CI/CD components (custom GitHub Actions)
  • Secure file transfer (SFTP / SSH key setups)
  • Distributed backend architectures (microservices, event-driven systems)

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer

  • Fast learner who applies new technologies effectively
