Senior Backend Engineer – Python

Your tasks:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services
• Architect, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL and other relational database systems
• Develop and optimize real-time systems, including streaming pipelines, sockets, and asynchronous workloads
• Implement and manage message brokers such as Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
• Design and maintain high-performance caching layers using Redis or Memcached
• Implement and operate a full observability stack, including:
• Metrics, logs, and distributed tracing
• OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and data integrity across services
• Optimize database queries, indexing, transactions, and schema migrations
• Handle production debugging, performance tuning, and incident response
• Work closely with product, DevOps, and infrastructure teams

Your profile:

• 5+ years of experience building production-grade backend or full-stack systems
• Strong proficiency in Python and modern backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design
• Experience building real-time or asynchronous systems (asyncio, streaming, WebSockets, sockets)
• Hands-on experience with message brokers and background processing systems
• Strong grasp of caching strategies and performance optimization
• Comfortable owning production systems end-to-end
• Thrive in fast-paced, startup environments

Ideally you also have:

• Experience with voice AI, telephony, WebRTC, or real-time audio systems
• Familiarity with AI/LLM-powered platforms
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
