We work primarily with cutting-edge startups (Parloa, Orbem, Forto, Vimcar…) and help them accelerate even further.
You’ll not only collaborate with a kick-ass Tekkr team, but also gain real exposure to amazing customers and support
their tech leadership on exciting, high-impact challenges.

We have built an initial software product using Node.js, React, MongoDB, Shadcn, and modern AI tooling
(RAG, Langfuse, …). We use this product in real customer engagements to deeply explore their problems.
Our goal is simple: build something people want. We learn fast, iterate quickly, and need your help
to move even faster. Let’s build this company together!

Tasks

As a founding engineer, you will:

• Shape the company’s culture, product, and vision.
• Build our products from the ground up.
• Wear many hats—from leveraging the latest technologies (including LLMs) to architecting, designing, and building software.
• Iterate rapidly and help drive our customer-oriented approach.

Requirements

• Full-stack development skills, ideally in the Tekkr stack: Node.js, React, MongoDB.
• Basic design skills and the ability to implement simple, effective designs using Shadcn.
• A hunger to learn, build rapidly, and work closely with a mission-driven team.
• Entrepreneurial experience such as freelancing, running a small agency, building products with real users, or leading communities.
• The startup attitude — “they didn’t know it was impossible, so they just did it.”
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Berlin-based — we want to build a strong local core team before expanding to remote.
• European work permit required.

• Work alongside Jackie Moyes (ex-VP Product at Viacom and Yara).

Hiring Process

• Video Call (30 min): Background discussion + time for your questions.
• Founder Call (30 min): Explore your motivation and the founding engineer role.
• Take-Home Project (2–3 hrs): Real-life engineering task based on the Tekkr context.
• Project Review (1 hr): Review your solution with the Engineering & Product team.
• Trial Day / Onsite (if possible): Experience what working at Tekkr actually feels like.

Our trial day is designed to simulate being part of the Tekkr team. We love candidates who research the space
deeply and come prepared with thoughtful questions.
