Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the combined scope of FinDB and
Client Portal (CP) — two core systems powering payabl.’s financial and operational ecosystem. This
mission-critical position ensures flawless performance of merchant settlements, reconciliation, profitability calculations,
and client data management. You will combine deep financial domain expertise with strong product ownership and delivery
leadership.

Location: London, UK / Limassol, Cyprus / Frankfurt, Germany / Fully Remote (Europe)
Reporting Line: Head of Product

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership & Vision:
    • Define and maintain long-term strategic vision and roadmap for FinDB and Client Portal.
    • Ensure systems scale with business growth, regulatory expansion, and technical evolution.
    • Build future-proof capabilities.
  • Platform Management (FinDB & CP):
    • Own FinDB platform — accurate, timely, and compliant settlements, reconciliations, accounting integrations, and profitability calculations.
    • Oversee Client Portal (CP) — internal CRM for client lifecycle management, integrating CDD, AML, Risk, and Business Growth data.
    • Maintain platform stability and coordinate maintenance, releases, and improvement initiatives.
  • Delivery & Engineering Collaboration:
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and Operations for on-time delivery and smooth go-lives.
    • Be technically fluent — unblock engineering discussions and understand code behavior at a high level.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the main bridge between Finance, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams.
    • Translate financial and business needs into actionable technical requirements.
    • Manage expectations and communicate project status clearly.
  • Requirements & Documentation:
    • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, and API documentation.
    • Conduct product demonstrations to stakeholders.
  • Data, Migration & Integration:
    • Oversee data migration projects ensuring data integrity and operational continuity.
    • Define and document API specifications for integrations.
    • Support SQL-based data queries and analysis as needed.
  • Quality, Testing & Go-Live:
    • Perform end-to-end verification before production deployment.
    • Maintain traceability of features and issues for full transparency.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements across workflows and communication.
    • Continuously evaluate product performance metrics and user feedback to inform iteration.

Who You Are

  • Experienced in Payments: Hands-on product management experience in payments/fintech (acquiring, settlements, reconciliation, financial data platforms).
  • Financially Fluent: Understand settlements, reconciliation, accounting logic, and financial calculations.
  • Engineering-Savvy: Strong grasp of SDLC — backlog refinement, sprint planning, QA, and deployment.
  • Data-Driven Thinker: Comfortable using data and SQL queries for decision-making and debugging.
  • Structured Communicator: Translate complex technical and financial concepts into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder Manager Under Pressure: Maintain transparency and trust across teams when priorities collide.
  • Outcome-Oriented: Deliver stable releases, improved workflows, and tangible business outcomes.
  • Collaborative and Resilient: Thrive in cross-functional environments and guide teams through ambiguity.

  • Initial Interview: 30–40 minutes with Senior Talent Acquisition team.

  • Live Case Scenario: 60-minute session assessing PM thinking, technical abilities, and financial knowledge.
  • Final Interview: Team-fit and values interview with Group CTO and future manager.
