About the Role: Account Director

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for renewals and stakeholder management. You’ll work closely with our Customer Success Managers and act as the primary contact for executive stakeholders. Your mission: drive renewals, identify expansion opportunities, and negotiate contracts to increase MRR and strengthen client relationships.

What You’ll Do

  • Own a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Proactively manage renewals in collaboration with the Customer Success team.
  • Excel in a team-selling environment for maximum account penetration and coverage.
  • Forecast monthly and quarterly performance accurately.
  • Negotiate contracts and deals with a focus on enterprise and “C-level” stakeholders.
  • Participate in onboarding and Business Review meetings with key clients.
  • Analyze stakeholder needs and align goals to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Map key stakeholders and set a communication strategy to ensure consistent engagement.
  • Own renewal strategies to achieve commercial and contractual targets.
  • Ensure Customer Success recognition and NPS targets are met across accounts.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to build customer advocacy through success stories and testimonials.
  • Monitor market trends and nurture stakeholders aligned with Insider’s roadmap and vision.

What We Expect From You

  • Experience in Customer Success, Account Management, or Sales, ideally within SaaS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and German).
  • Proven ability to persuade, negotiate, and close contracts.
  • A tech-savvy, self-motivated problem-solver always looking for better ways to support clients.
  • High sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • A strategic thinker with strong project and time management skills.
  • Experience managing senior executive relationships and navigating multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Comfortable driving decisions collaboratively and resolving conflicts with clear communication.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience addressing large and small audiences.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities.
