The Role: IT Engineer (Barleben, Germany)

We’re looking for a proactive and creative IT Engineer to join our growing team in Germany. You’ll be part of the IT department delivering world-class support to our team across the country. Based at our Logistics Hub in Barleben, you will travel regularly across our German sites and play a key role in building scalable IT systems and services.

What You’ll Do

• Act as the first point of contact for IT support: onboarding/offboarding, access requests, and troubleshooting.
• Manage workplace and warehouse technologies, improving processes and defining new service standards.
• Learn and apply IT principles and analytical skills to optimize our IT landscape.
• Define and deliver impactful technical projects with long-term value.
• Gain hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Workplace, Azure, Atlassian Suite, and more.
• Automate and improve internal processes while maintaining clear documentation for knowledge sharing.
• Language Requirements: Excellent English and minimum B1-level German proficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android) and corporate hardware including printing solutions.
• Familiarity with corporate software: Slack, Google Workspace, Azure, Atlassian, Snipe-IT, Intune, Jamf, SureMDM.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain tech in simple terms.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
• A proactive attitude, ready to tackle technical challenges head-on.
• Willingness to travel across Germany and occasionally Europe for on-site support.
• Experience with network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN), FortiGate Firewalls, Cisco switches, and wireless technologies.
• Valid EU driver’s license is required.
