About the Role

Position: Business Development Team Lead

Type: Full-time contractor

Location: Remote (Preference for Europe or +/- 4 hours CEST)
Note: We are not hiring from Australia or New Zealand

Business Development is critical to expanding CoW DAO’s reach and forging strategic partnerships. We’re looking for a BD Team Lead to define and execute our growth strategy while managing and mentoring a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the BD team—set strategy, priorities, and scalable processes
• Identify and pursue opportunities with:
  • Consumer-facing apps (wallets, neobanks, trading platforms)
  • Institutional partners (market makers, fintechs)
  • DeFi protocols and ecosystem collaborators
• Own and grow key relationships, ensuring strong engagement and deal success
• Pitch our products (CoW Protocol, CoW Swap, MEV Blocker, CoW AMM) to technical and non-technical audiences
• Manage enterprise sales cycles, RFPs, legal reviews, and stakeholder alignment
• Develop sales materials—decks, target lists, and influence maps
• Track and report BD initiatives both qualitatively and quantitatively
• Provide market feedback to shape product roadmaps
• Represent CoW DAO at events and conferences
• Manage budgets for travel, events, and outreach
• Mentor team members and foster cross-functional collaboration

Who You Are

• Experienced in BD, partnerships, or sales—ideally in fintech, Web3, or DeFi
• Proven track record selling to large fintechs or institutions
• Ability to turn technical ideas into business value for varied stakeholders
• Comfortable leading and executing in a hands-on role
• Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities
• Collaborative leader with experience mentoring or managing teams
• Thrives in remote, decentralized environments
• Fast learner, curious about DeFi and blockchain
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in fast-paced, high-impact settings

Nice to Have

• Experience with consumer fintech apps
• Exposure to both institutional finance and DeFi
• Strong grasp of blockchain concepts like intents, MEV, and AMMs
• Skilled in creating sales enablement tools and influence maps
• Experience with event and budget management for BD activities
• Track record of productive facilitation and alignment across stakeholders
