React Native Engineer – Mobile App

Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek. Our vision is to build a healthcare system focused on preventive care and early detection. We’ve developed a revolutionary medical scanning technology for broad, non-invasive health data collection — designed to be both convenient and affordable to the public. With over 300 employees across Europe, we are a remote-first company headquartered in Stockholm.

About the Role

We maintain a wide range of frontend applications — from internal tools to member-facing platforms and medical UIs. Our tech stack includes React, C#, and even game engines for specific use cases.

We’re now expanding into mobile and are looking for a skilled React Native Engineer to lead the development of our first cross-platform mobile app for our members. This is a foundational role where you’ll define architecture, shape UX with our design team, and lay the groundwork for mobile within our ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Define and lead technical decisions on mobile architecture, tooling, pipelines, and code structure
• Establish best practices for cross-platform mobile development (testing, CI/CD, release processes)
• Develop features in React Native and collaborate across our stack as needed
• Create clear technical documentation and share knowledge across teams

What We’re Looking For

• Broad software engineering background with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Hands-on experience building and deploying mobile apps using React Native
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture and release cycles
• Experience with B2C, customer-facing products
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — essential in our remote-first team

About the Engineering Team

• 100+ engineers across Europe (Berlin, Lisbon, Stockholm, Vilnius, and more)
• Disciplines include: hardware, firmware, ML, algorithms, frontend, backend, and research
• Our tech stack includes React, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, Azure, Cosmos DB
• We use C++ and Python for algorithmic and hardware-interfacing components
• APIs secured via Azure Active Directory

Remote-First Culture

• Work from anywhere in Europe — most engineers visit the Stockholm office occasionally (once every 2–4 weeks)
