Job Overview
Join the Intuit Data Exchange (IDX) team as a Senior Development Manager focused on leading development efforts for our cutting-edge Document Comprehension platform. This AI-powered platform extracts financial data from documents using technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI frameworks.
In this leadership role, you’ll guide a team of engineers, designers, and product professionals to build scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that serve hundreds of millions of users. You’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of AI at Intuit and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams; hire, coach, and develop talent.
- Drive development of scalable AI-powered document comprehension services and platforms.
- Empower engineering teams and lead by example with a strong customer-focused mindset.
- Deliver innovative products that solve real customer problems, aligned with long-term platform strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product, Design, Program Management) to define and drive product roadmaps.
- Lead deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of AI models in production with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Ensure technical excellence in areas like service architecture, security, data integrity, and model governance.
- Drive platform innovation by integrating technologies like LLMs, vector databases, and embedding models.
- Monitor and iterate on post-deployment AI model performance using real-time metrics and data insights.
- Act as a strategic thought partner across engineering and business teams to scale our platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or related field); MS or equivalent experience preferred.
- 12+ years of hands-on software development experience, with 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- 5+ years leading the design and development of scalable, distributed platforms or microservices.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI or machine learning engineering (LLMs, RAG, embeddings, etc.).
- Experience working with LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Autogen, LlamaIndex) and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude).
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native architecture, deployment, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Proficient in programming and deploying production-quality systems using modern tools and version control (Git, GitHub).
- Comfortable operating in a Linux environment and architecting systems using GenAI technologies.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to define product vision and communicate across technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and rapid release cycles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of articulating complex ideas clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with statistical modeling, data mining, or algorithm design.
- Familiarity with SaaS development and versioned service lifecycle management.
- Background working with financial data, document ingestion, or compliance systems.
