About the Position

  • Role: Application Engineer working closely with co‑founders on porting and optimizing algorithms for our new processor.
  • Short‑Term: Provide feedback to hardware team from a software perspective to influence processor architecture.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Port and optimize algorithms to run efficiently on a new RISC‑V processor.
  • Benchmark performance-critical code to evaluate hardware capabilities.
  • Collaborate with hardware architects to refine design based on software feedback.
  • Develop demos and customer apps showcasing performance and capabilities.
  • Offer continuous insights to improve hardware through iterative software testing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years in combined hardware/software design roles.
  • Strong understanding of processor and hardware architecture.
  • Proficiency with DSP tools — C/C++, MATLAB.
  • Assembly coding experience.
  • Familiarity with AI algorithms (e.g., LLMs, YOLO) preferred.
  • Experience with AI frameworks (CUDA, PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX) preferred.
  • Knowledge of DSP algorithms (FFT, DCT, butterfly, etc.) is highly advantageous.
