Field Solutions Architect I, Generative AI, Google Cloud

About the Job

As a Field Solutions Architect for Generative AI, you will support our Google Cloud sales organization by rapidly prototyping AI applications for customers—from startups to global enterprises. You will help demonstrate the capabilities of Google’s cutting-edge AI solutions, including language models, computer vision, and more, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You’ll work closely with customers to understand their needs, design functional prototypes, and deliver impactful demonstrations. You will also help shape the evolution of our AI products through collaboration with product teams, and share your learnings across both customer and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor by understanding business processes and designing Generative AI-driven solutions across AI, Data, and Infrastructure
• Prototype and showcase Generative AI capabilities: model prompting and tuning, performance optimization, profiling, and benchmarking
• Troubleshoot issues in AI applications and develop scalable technical solutions
• Create reusable technical assets (scripts, templates, reference architectures, etc.) for internal and external use
• Influence Google Cloud’s strategy by sharing insights from customer use cases and advocating for enterprise needs
• Drive enablement efforts across field teams and collaborate with product and partner organizations
• Travel as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience with a statistical programming language (e.g., Python)
• Experience in AI applications such as deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or pattern recognition
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Experience delivering technical presentations and conducting business value sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience training and fine-tuning models in large-scale environments using hardware accelerators
• Understanding of distributed training and performance-cost optimization
• Knowledge of CI/CD solutions for MLOps and LLMOps, including IaC tools like Terraform
• Proficiency in systems design and ability to explain data and ML pipelines

Compensation & Benefits

US base salary range: $123,000 – $176,000/year. Compensation varies by location, experience, and role level. Total compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.
