Role Details

• Location: Berlin (Hybrid possible)
• Experience Level: 3–5 years (Startup experience preferred)
• Languages: English (required), German (a plus)

What You’ll Be Doing

You’re not just looking for a job—you’re looking for a product and mission worth building. As our first engineer, you’ll shape the digital backbone of a company aiming to become Europe’s insulation champion.

The three biggest challenges in the first year:

• Build Our Core Platform: Lay the foundation for a scalable web platform by combining no-code/low-code tools and custom development where needed.
• Create an Offline-First App: Work with Product and founders to deliver a mobile-first experience for rural, low-connectivity areas.
• Optimize Processes with AI Agents: Leverage generative AI to streamline workflows like handling emergencies or qualifying construction plans.

Here’s What You’ll Dive Into

• Build what matters – Collaborate with our business automation team to translate validated ideas into clean, scalable code.
• Shape the customer experience – Power our digital funnel from website visit to project handoff.
• Develop daily-use tools – Support field technicians, ops managers, and others through smart digital tools.
• Code smarter with AI – Use tools like Cursor, Lovable, and other AI-assisted environments to accelerate development.
• Collaborate across the business – Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, Ops, and Finance teams.
• Help choose our tech stack – Define how we build from the ground up with minimal legacy systems.
• Work transparently – Access and understand business KPIs behind every feature you build.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience building web/mobile applications in fast-paced or startup environments
• Strong full stack skills – modern frontend, backend, APIs, and databases
• Hands-on, product-minded engineer with a “build, test, learn” mindset
• Openness to no-code/low-code tools and AI-native workflows
• Tech-savvy, curious, and thoughtful in tool selection
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
