Senior Backend Developer

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Python – CRM) to join our Marketing Retention Team and help deliver exceptional experiences to millions of customers. You’ll contribute to developing powerful tools and solutions that foster customer loyalty and optimize marketing performance across our global markets.

This role places you at the forefront of CRM innovation, where you’ll craft personalized, automated communication strategies using the latest tech stacks and cloud platforms. Join us in positioning Delivery Hero as the leader in next-gen customer engagement.

Your Responsibilities

• CRM Solutions Development: Build and evolve retention products using Python, APIs, Braze, GCP, and AWS. Examples include Dynamic Content, Automated Campaign Composer, and system integrations.
• In-Braze Campaign Development: Implement automation logic using Python, Java, App Scripts, and data languages to launch dynamic campaigns within Braze.
• Innovative Solution Design: Partner with stakeholders to understand CRM needs and develop, launch, and evaluate solutions aligned with company objectives.
• Product Collaboration: Ensure seamless integration of Braze SDK with our platforms, breaking down silos between teams and aligning product goals with engineering solutions.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Proven experience designing and building technical solutions and tools
• Strong background in automation and backend development with Python and experience using APIs, GCP, AWS, and automation tools like Google Scripts
• Proficiency in templating languages like Liquid and familiarity with CRM SaaS technologies
• Understanding of third-party CRM tools (experience with Braze is a strong plus)
• Excellent English communication skills; other languages are a bonus
• Familiarity with mobile lifecycle marketing, retention strategy, and CX best practices
